Sunday 3rd July Inter County Bowls Match 2.00pm


A great opportunity to see quality bowling when Yorkshire take on Greater Manchester in the inter county championship. Practice commences at 1.00pm and the game at 2.00pm. This is a very popular well supported event so be there early for a good spot. The bar will be open along with a food service all day.


Thursday 14th July Supper Night 7.30pm – 11.30pm


A great evening planned with a faith supper, along with fantastic entertainment from Bev Moss a brilliant all-round entertainer with music and songs for all tastes


Sunday 17th July Inter County Veterans Bowls Match


Yorkshire v Staffordshire 1.00pm practice 2.00pm start hopefully we can see some of our own players in this event which is great to see and good entertainment– food and drinks will be available throughout the tournament.


Sunday 24th July YTCC Car Show and Naming of the Greens 9.00am onwards


A fantastic event within excess of 180 classic cars on show there will be food and drink available all day. There will also be judging, and prizes presented to the winning owners of vehicles in various categories.


We are also taking this opportunity to formally announce the naming of the bowling greens in recognition of the huge contributions made to Spen Victoria over the years and in one case the unstinting ongoing work.


The bottom green will be name – The Robinson Family Green, this is in recognition of the work done in the past by the late Ken Robinson and the ongoing work by the irrepressible Brenda Robinson and her son Andrew.


The top green will be named – The John Dewhirst Green, this is in memory to a great servant of the club who spent a great deal of time and effort ensuring the club survived and prospered through some difficult times, as President and Secretary he devoted himself to the club with great intelligence and humour, he is sadly missed.


We are hoping to stage some fun target bowling to allow people to have a go and wh knows possibly take the game up.


Food and drinks will be available all day with free admission to the show.

The first and second round of our annual classic bowling event commences with top bowlers vying for a place in the final in September.
